24 Days of Christmas Draw
Friday, December 26th, 2008Bayfair certainly wrapped up Christmas in style this year by giving one lucky customer $10,000 worth of vouchers to spend in the shopping centre.
Imagine having $10,000 to spend in any one of over ninety stores? That was exactly what was on the minds of many eager customers as they gathered to see if their name was to be picked out from the Bayfair “24 Days of Christmas” live draw held on Boxing Day evening.
Groceries, fashion, beauty products, books, jewellery and even a paddling pool, all available from Bayfair, featured on the wish lists of customers hoping that their entry would be the one randomly selected.
When the ticket was pulled out Centre Manager, Andrew Wadsworth had the honour of presenting the vouchers to Nicole Jordaan of Papamoa. After an overwhelmed reaction, Nicole said that a portion of the vouchers will go towards a honeymoon for her parents.
“Making someone’s Christmas in this way is a tremendous opportunity for us to show our appreciation to customers who have visited the centre during the year and we hope that the $10,000 worth of vouchers will be a great start for Nicole in 2009”, commented Andrew.
All throughout December Bayfair has, in fact, been bringing festive delight to shoppers on a daily basis by telephoning them to let them know that they too were winners of $500 to $1,000 of vouchers simply by entering the same draw.
“Bringing some Christmas cheer in this manner definitely created some amusing responses when we made the calls”, said Andrew, “from complete and utter silence through to deafening screams, our customers accepted the great news with pleasing surprise. One customer even thought I was playing a practical joke!”
