The recent success of Bayfair's first Sustainable Information Expo was not just celebrated by its exhibitors and the thousands of shoppers who were able to learn more about environmentally friendly products and services, it was also an opportunity for a local student to shine!
Kori Jeffery, who attends Tauranga Intermediate School, completed the Expo's Sustainable Information Quiz during her visit and showed everyone just how much she knows about the subject. Also, in doing so her entry which was added to many others into a draw and later randomly selected to receive the grand prize.
Supplied by Beca, Kori won a computer package to the value of $2,500 RRP for her nominated school. This will enable staff at Tauranga Intermediate School to select a range of I.T. equipment to this value which will undoutedly assist Kori and countless other students with their studies. Karen Sanderson from Beca was on hand to present this outstanding prize to Kori's tutor, Emma Hoggart.
Kori did not go home empty handed from the prize giving either. Hosts, Bayfair Shopping Centre presented her with $500 worth of Bayfair gift vouchers to spend in any of the ninety plus stores!
Overwhelmed by her prize and contribution to her school, Kori is definitely seeking to explore the realms of sustainability further.
