Black Forest Chocolate Truffles
This dessert recipe is super simple and also simply delicious! Using a classic chocolate mudcake as the base, these Black Forest Chocolate Truffles are sure to be a favourite.
Ingredients
Chocolate mud cake (approx. 320g) - 1/2Cream cheese, soft - 2 Tbsp
Glacé cherries - 200 g
White chocolate melts - 200 g
Chocolate sprinkles, to decorate - 2 Tbsp
Method
- Line a baking tray with baking paper.
- Crumble the cake into a bowl. Add cream cheese and stir well to combine until the mix holds together, adding more if necessary.
- Roll into walnut-sized balls. Press a cherry into the centre of each and re-roll to cover. Place onto the prepared tray and freeze for 30 minutes.
- Melt the chocolate melts in a small bowl. Dip each ball into the chocolate to coat, allowing excess to drip off. Decorate with sprinkles and place back onto the tray to set.
