Mix together: 1 1/2 Cups of Water 3/4 Cup of Dishwashing Liquid 3 tsp Glycerine (you will find it in the cooking aisle with colourings) No Cook Play Dough Recipe Making playdough without cooking is an easy and fun way to entertain the kids. Children will love to play and be creative with this no-cook playdough recipe. What you need: 1 Cup Salt 3 Cups Flour 1 Tbsp Vegetable Oil Food Colouring 1 Cup Water Mix all the day ingredients together and then add oil. Add the food colouring to the water. Slowly add the water until the desired consistency is reached. Kneading will help to improve the texture, so let your kids get into it!! ONE CUP PANCAKES Simplest pancakes to make! You don't even need scales to weigh out the ingredients - all you need is a cup or mug!! I large egg 1 Cup of self-raising flour 1 Cup of Milk Pinch of Sea Salt 1 1/2 Cup of Blueberries 1/2 Tablespoon of Olive Oil To make the batter, crack the egg into a large mixing bowl. Add the flour, milk and a tiny pinch of sea salt. Whisk everything together until you have a lovely, smooth batter. Fold through the blueberries, if using. Put a large frying pan on a medium heat and after a minute or so, add ½ tablespoon of oil. Carefully tilt the pan to spread the oil out evenly. Add a few ladles of batter to the pan, leaving enough space between each one so they have room to spread out slightly – each ladleful will make one pancake, and you'll need to cook them in batches. Cook the pancakes for 1 to 2 minutes, or until little bubbles appear on the surface and the bases are golden, then use a fish slice to carefully flip them over. Serve the pancakes straight away, topped with a dollop of natural yoghurt, and some extra berries, if you like. Role Playing with Toddlers Playing Taxi! Pretend play can begin during the toddler stage when you lead the way, we are off on an adventure. Time: 5 to 10 minutes Materials: Two Chairs Directions: Place the chairs side by side and pretend you are the driver Ask your toddler where to go, giving suggestions if needed Talk about all the things you pretend to see along the way and talk about what you will do when you get to your destination. You can mix this play date around and let the toddler drive, use a plastic plate as a steering wheel, add more chairs behind so toys can join the adventure - Or even put the chairs in a line and become a train. Playing Groceries! Toddlers have fun filling up bags and baskets with just about anything - For variety you can even use blocks or duplo in place of the below. Materials: Paper bag with handles or a small basket, empty food boxes and containers Directions: Save up empty food boxes and containers; Jelly and cereal boxes, small yogurt containers ad empty vitamin bottles all work well. To ensure they are not a chocking hazard, be sure to seal the boxes with tap and then use a glue gun to permanently attached the lids to small containers. Store all of you 'groceries' in a box or laundry basket. Your child will have fun 'going shopping' with a paper bag or small basket. HAPPY PLAYING EVERYONE.
